I woke up worn out. Had dreams where I felt like I had to work all night. Whew - glad it's day.
On my morning walk, I figured out I was feeling overwhelmed. Ugh! Not just feeling, but I am overwhelmed.
overwhelm - actually means to be overcome. Comes from whelm - which means completely submerged. So by saying I am overwhelmed means I am completely submerged by ... fill in the blank. Mine is things I need to do and haven't-chores, writing, things I think I should have done.
Actually, I am happy to discover what that overwhelm means. Now I know how to fight.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2 Peter 2:19
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
Whatever has you feeling overwhelmed has you in bondage. Yikes, I am joining the Overcomers! No more feeling overwhelmed.
Read the promises of the overcomers in REV 2 and 3.
Ahh, I feel better now.
