For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Christians will suffer for their faith. Jesus told us we would. But we never suffer alone, for He is with us - always forevermore.
And we have the promise of eternal life. We do not perish. Stand bright and shining. Salty to give the world reason to seek. Proclaim the Good News. And don't be surprised when the world forces, those aligned with the enemy, come against you. For it will happen.
Rejoice! Not that we might suffer, but that we may be counted worthy to suffer for Him. For in Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life.
Apart from Christ there is nothing.
