Who do you serve?

Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Matthew 4:10
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

A hint of fall. Two leaves got together and decided to color up. They stand out amongst the green of all those around them.

That's how we should be. As Christians, standing out should be our normal.

It is a choice. Daily.

To go along with the 'joke' that makes fun of another,
To settle for mediocrity in what we do because we can get away with it (ouch)
To ignore the needs of another, the government can take care of them
To rail against authority instead of praying for them (double ouch)
To ignore the Lord throughout the day
To grieve the Holy Spirit

Everything is a choice.

Choose wisely.

  1. Love this photo and the perspective. And that's the swinging chair I remember with such fondness. I want to add - 'Be still & know (rock in my arms) that I am God.'
Also love that 2 leaves got together and 'coloured up'. We can help each other to come up higher.

  2. Excellent post, Patty, and I loved Liz's point to stand together.
