DAY 167

What a cool looking little flower and plant.

Our God is amazing in the diversity of His creation. And it is in seeing His creation that man is held accountable.

Romans 1: 20 ²⁰For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:²¹Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

The truth is all around. Amazing stories of proof how God created the heavens and the earth. Check out creationist sites and see what they would have to say. Evolution? It takes more faith to believe in mans explanation that disorder would jump to order than it does to believe Genesis 1:1 ¹In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Who can look at a sunset, the stars at night, or a newborn baby and not know in their hearts that there is a God. One who designed it all.

And what is more amazing - that God loves you, knows your name, and has plans for your life.

Wow! What a way to start the day.

DAY 115

MMMM! Got to love donuts.

And then we know the saying about those unhappy souls who are always looking for the hole in the donut.

Why miss out on sooo much by looking for what you don't have? Sounds silly when we think about it, but it is so easy to do.

So, take it to a higher level. Is this what we do when we are refusing to be grateful? Could we even begin to list all the things we can and ought to be thankful for? I think if we were honest, this would take way longer than we would want to do.

Psalm 26:7
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Psalm 116:17
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

2 Corinthians 9:11
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Colossians 2:7
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

I am thankful that I can write, have breath in my lungs, friends I adore, family that loves and supports me, a church and Pastor who is strong in the Word, a home, food, water, air, cars, and mostly for a loving heavenly Father, a mighty savior who redeems me, and life everlasting.

These are but a few of my favorite things for which I am so grateful.
