It is amazing what difference one's perspective can make. Your mood follows your mind and eyes. So to make this a meaningful weekend. Let's follow the Philippians prescription for a good day.
Set your mind on these things:
- What is true?
- Honest
- Just
- Pure
- Lovely
- A Good Report
- Virtue
- Praise
Think on these things.
I might add what do you have to be thankful for?
The Challenge - on a notebook, or your cell phone, look around and see what you can write down that fits in these categories. Rejoice when you find them. It might be a field of beautiful wild flowers. A mockingbird singing and blessing you with its song. A white puffy cloud in a bright blue sky. Gentle rain. A person's smile. Your smile to someone who needed it. A kind word, deed.
Look for what is good and rejoice in the Lord.
And then see just what kind of day you had.
Take the challenge!
Psalm 32:11
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
