A Place for You

Jesus not only promised eternal life. He promises to have a place all ready for you when you arrive. A place He has prepared just for you.


John 14:2 (KJV)
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

How amazing is that!  

Live today as heirs to the kingdom. As those who have a place secured in heaven.

Believe on Jesus and these things are so.

WOW Wednesday!

It's WOW Wednesday. Wow to think that the Creator of All knows your name, the number of hairs on your head, designed and purposed you for His good works. Wow to know that He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, (Read Ephesians)
Wow, this life is tough, but we have eternity with Him, in heaven, a place that knows no sorrows or tears.  WOW

Here is an awesome prayer to pray from the Apostle Paul. Isn't it amazing to think we can pray the same words that he prayed than 2000 years ago. 

Ephesian 1:17-23

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

What is your heart and soul singing? What wonders of God has He lodged inside you to carry you through the day? Stop and listen today. Write it down. Sing it on your way home from work. Rejoice. Our God lives. Jesus is Alive forevermore !!!

The Call

It's Spring!

Flowers giving the call that it's time.

Time to grow

Time to come out of winter's grasp.

Time to live!

So to does Jesus give the call.

That Sunday morning

When the stone rolled away

When Life overcame death

For those who believe on Jesus

Eternal life rules!

We follow the One

The One who was alive, died, and yet now lives!

Alive forever more

The call is gone out

Choose this day

Life or death!

Consider

Psalm 8:3

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

How awesome is our God

That He placed each star in its place

Set the moon and the sun

on their schedule.

Yet He knows me

and you

even counts the number of hairs on our heads

and watches over us

Consider how he cares for us

Consider the great I AM

A Nation Falls

Philippians 3:20 [NASB]

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

My spirit within me is grieved today.

We have lost our bearings

our compass

Without a revelation of Jesus in

the hearts of the people

we are undone.

God knows

He is not surprised

although I am sure He is saddened.

But maybe it is to reinforce

in our minds that this is not our home.

We are citizens of heaven even now.

So we must live as citizens of heaven

With the Lord's work foremost in our mind.

Abide in the Lord and let His word abide in you

Pray that we stay above the ruckus

and cling to the pure Word of God.

Going about the Father's business

Not looking to the right or the left

but to Him.

As the world tumbles into chaos and those

who think they have the answers

conjure up their one world schemes

Stay close to Jesus. 

Your soul is more valuable

than anything the world has to offer.

I love the psalms where it says

the nations make their plans

but God laughs

Rejoice and Fear Not

For the Lord is with us

The real question is are we with Him.

Numbers 14:21

But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.

His Glory is all around

for those who have eyes to see.

Look for it,

Seek it out

Rejoice at His glory

And know that soon

All the earth will see His glory

God is good

Almighty

and full of Glory

Sing unto the Lord

Psalm 68:4

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.

The Lord loves our praise

Loves our singing of His goodness.

And He is worthy!

Let your heart sing

Sing new songs to Him

Sing hymns and worship Him.

Let your spirit break forth in song! 

First Things

Mark 12:30

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Simply put

GOD is to be First!

I was with a friend the other day

and I started laughing.

The thought of how many books do we read

how much preaching do we listen to,

how much do we research and study the things of God

BUT 

miss this simple commandment.

ALL

hinges on this simple idea.

IF life were a flow chart

all problems would start with this sequence

Is GOD First in your life?

If the answer is no, 

go back to square one.

GOD IS FIRST

God IS

 Psalm 19:1-2

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

God's fingerprints are everywhere you look

The sky in its awesome expanse

The stars set just so

The flowers and animals

majestic mountains

bubbling rivers

and giant oaks

Take time to see

God is awesome

HE IS

Forgiveness

Colossians 3:13

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye

How easy we forget that the cornerstone of our faith is forgiveness.

We might cling to our own need

but to extend that forgiveness to others

often gets lost in the hectic world

of rights.

As Christians, we have the right to be forgiven

if we forgive others.

Matthew 6:12

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Today, forgive others
so you may be forgiven.

Amazing God

Psalm 90:2,4

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. 

God is amazing

We lose sight of that and

soon we begin to drift with the waves

of the worldly ways.

But consider

He is

The Great I AM

Before all

Maker of all

HE is the Alpha and the Omega

Nothing exists that He didn't create

The smallest particle to the largest mountain.

HE IS AMAZING

Marvel at the Great I AM

Be amazed at our 

Amazing God

Renewing Your Mind

Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Thoughts, Attitudes

They set  your day

Set your mood

So how do you renew your mind?

God's word is truth

the world is constantly bombarding

our minds with lies.

Contrary to God's word

the world teaches to look out for yourself.

The sky is falling

FEAR

But what does God's word say?

For every circumstance you find yourself in

Search the word of God

Pray for His revelation and truth

And proclaim it

Speak God's truth aloud 

and renew your mind.

Your thoughts and attitude will follow

and you will be transformed.

Words

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Like angry storm clouds, angry words stir up a tempest.

Words are so proud

once they are let loose

there is no calling them back.

Sound travels never stopping

our words go

and never stop.

Scary thought if they are not righteous words.

The Bible says we will give account for every word we utter.

Makes me want to put tape over my mouth.

Even more reason to know the Word of God

And speak His Words

That will keep us out of trouble.

God is good

His Word is true.

The Secret Place

Song of Solomon 2:14

“O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep pathway, Let me see your form, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your form is lovely.”

Find a place of peace and get alone with the Lord.

Our lover. Out God who desires to be with us.

Who desires to walk with us

Talk with us

Don't 

Forsake Him.

Take time to be alone with the Lord

to sit at His feet and love Him

To worship Him

To Hear 

Him

To learn and lean on Him

To listen

To love

to live.

Glory

Psalm 66:2

Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.

Praise the Lord!

You don't have to look far to see the handiwork of God.

Look around,

See His thumbprints 

On the snow-capped mountains

the cerulean sea

verdant forests

and 

flowers of gold.

On majestic deer 

wild horses

baby lambs

and lions.

Clouds of white

sunsets of pink and purple

stars that glisten

moon that shines

All because God ordains it.

Created it.

Watches over it.

HE IS

Give Glory to the Great I AM

A GOOD WORD

James 3:8-10

8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father;

 and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. 

My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

This verse is so powerful if we but put it into practice and ponder on its meaning.

Unfortunately how true it is. And it shouldn't be so.

How quick derogatory words fly out of our mouths at the least provocation.

And how seldom do words of kindness, encouragement, goodness, love and hope

Come forth.

So today

Beef up your vocabulary.

Find 10 good words you can say about or too others.

Even to those who we don't like.

Safe in the Arms

What better place to be? Wrapped in the Father's arms.

Safe and secure. 

Our Father in heaven wants to wrap His arms around us.

And HE does.

When we allow Him too.

Read the 23rd Psalm

And know that you are safe in His arms.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
