He let them go! He turned to His men and said, "So, are you going to leave, too?" They said, "Where could we go? You have the keys to eternal life." NOT "NOW more."

And, for of you who don't, well now you do! And, probably will never forget it!

Patty, I know you enjoyed this laugh as much as I did. We're talking about preaching to the lost, and I'm trying to get them to sin now more! LOL Sorry about that, folks!

Sinning NO more,

~ChelleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6395105165952656277.post-32297054679632232182011-06-08T20:03:49.936-05:002011-06-08T20:03:49.936-05:00Preach it, Sistah!!! One of the last things Jesus told His disciples was to spread the Good News where they were, throughout the region, and throughout the whole land.

I think it's that the word "preach" has obtained a negative connotation as "preachy." When I hear the word "preach" I can't help but think of preachers yelling from the pulpits to sin no more. It's true, we need to repent of our sins, but too often believers are scared they will offend the sinner. Really? Did Jesus offend anyone who came to speak to Him? Never! Yet, He called them on their sins and told them to "go and sin now more. "Preach" has lost its meaning as a beautiful word about sharing God's grace and Truth, similarly to how "awesome," has been diminished to a randomly used adjective.

Preach the Word of the Lord for it will not come back void. The world needs to hear His glorious Truth. Great post, Patty!

~ChelleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
